Ways the Church Must Change
In thinking through what we are doing at the Table, I jotted down some notes about ways the local church must change.
As you read this list, what stands out?
What line makes you say, “tell me more?”
Which makes you think, “We can’t do that?”
The church must have mutual/polycentric leadership and be non-hierarchical.
The church must be formational, not informational.
The church must be incarnational, not extractional.
The church must be communal, not individualistic.
The church must be a centred set, not a bounded one.
The church must be focused on the abundant life promised by Jesus, not sin management.
The church must be mission-oriented rather than meeting/event-oriented.
